Places for People joins the Viridian Solar Partnership
January 21st 2004, Cambridge UK. Viridian announces that Places for People Group has joined its Solar Partnership, aimed at developing solar hot water systems.

Places for People Group specialises in housing and regeneration with more than 52,000 homes in England, Scotland and Wales under management. Through its subsidiary companies it develops new social housing, homes for rent at market rates, and new homes for sale.

Stuart Elmes, Chief Executive of Viridian commented: "Viridian welcomes Places for People Group to the partnership. We look forward to working together with them and our other partners in the coming year as we seek to develop a new type of solar water heating system that really works for house builders and their customers. Our partnership now represents a group that, taken together, builds more than 3,750 houses every year."

Viridian is seeking up to 10 forward-looking organisations from the building industry to join the partnership.
