Viridian Files First Patent for Roof Integrated Solar Panel
October 30th 2004, Cambridge, UK. Viridian announces that it has filed a key patent for a roof integrated solar collector. The patent describes a design that is easy to fit and low profile to the roof compared to conventional solar collector panels.

Stuart Elmes, Chief Executive of Viridian commented "Solar collector panels are a well established technology, and the intellectual property field is somewhat congested. It is a testament to the innovative and unique nature of Viridian's approach that we have been able to file a patent with such widespread applicability."

Viridian is working with forward looking organisations in the building industry to design a solar hot water system that can be easily included in buildings as they are constructed.
