Viridian Files Third Patent for its Solar Panel Technology

October 25th 2005, Cambridge, UK. Viridian announces that it has filed a third patent to protect its roof-integrated solar collector design. The patent covers a design of flashing that makes a solar panel significantly easier to install.

Stuart Elmes, Chief Executive of Viridian commented "This subject of this patent application is a demonstration of our focus on making this product easy to work with for the construction industry. Our solar panel will be suitable for the trades people present on any building site, without the need for specialist teams of installers."

Viridian is working with forward looking organisations in the building industry to design a solar hot water system that can be easily included in buildings as they are constructed.
