Viridian Solar announces today that its new design and installation accreditation service, Solarsure, has been listed under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). To qualify for government support mechanisms such as the Low Carbon Building Programme and the forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive, both solar panels and installation need to be MCS listed. Solarsure has been created to dovetail into a mainstream construction programme, while avoiding grey areas and maintaining clear responsibilities for subcontractors.

Subject to their meeting minimum qualifications, conventional roofing, plumbing and electrical subcontractors are trained on-site to perform the installation by Viridian's Technical Support Team. A representative sample of installations are inspected to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout, and a certificate issued upon completion.
