The building industry rightly demands toughness and durability in the products it uses. Clearline solar panels are tested to higher levels than ever before to give you the confidence to deploy this new technology.
In common with many other solar products, the Clearline solar panel has exceeded the test requirements of BS EN 12-975, the european standard for solar panel performance and durability. While this standard asks searching questions about the panel itself, it does not consider the interface between the panel and the building.
Viridian Solar worked with the British Board of Agrement (BBA) to develop tests for the durability, weathertightness, resistance to wind loading and fire safety of the installed Clearline solar panel.

Tests performed by accredited test labs include:
Aging test
Wind gusting tests to 120mph
Wind-driven rain penetration tests for flashing
Extended exposure testing.
Water-tightness of solar panel
External thermal shock
Internal thermal shock
Hailstone impact
External Fire Exposure Test to BS 476 part 3.
