Wireless Solar Energy Display
A study conducted by Viridian and the Building Research Establishment showed that people who engage with their solar water heating systems can increase their energy savings significantly. Clearline Aura puts information about your solar heating system right where you want it. The solar controller communicates wirelessly with the display which can be located anywhere within range.
The status screen shows the current temperatures at the outlet to the solar panel and in the solar-heated part of the cylinder. The colour of the panel and cylinder change from a cool blue to a warm orange as the temperature rises giving an instant impression to the user.
The status screen also displays an estimate of the solar energy. The total can be displayed for a time period of a day, week, month, year or all-time. The energy can be displayed either in kilowatt hours (kWh) or alternatively in “showers” - a more intuitive unit representing the hot water energy used in taking a shower.
Backwards Compatibility
Clearline Aura will work immediately with all Clearline V200, V210 and V260 controllers with serial number greater than 4000. For older units, an upgrade is possible either by replacing the electronic controller or re-programming it.
