The new Clearline Vetro solar heating cassette can be fitted into curtain walling, sloped or vertical patent glazing, and other aluminium, metal, or timber glazing systems for both commercial and domestic buildings.
Viridian's popular Clearline solar panel has been adapted with a patented design that enables installers to simply ‘glaze’ the panels into the frames providing seamless integration with the adjacent glass offering an architecturally elegant way to integrate solar heating.
Taller buildings have proportionally less roof area available for mounting solar panels and other renewables, creating challenges to meet ever tougher energy efficiency standards. Facades provide a much larger area, so although panels oriented vertically will produce around 75% of the annual energy of panels at the optimum tilt angle*, this can be overcome by a greater provision. Clearline Vetro offers an alternative to spandrel panels where clear glass is not required, or could form an attractive highlight in a building design.
Many buildings such as hotels, heathcare and sports centres have a high demand for hot water, and often incorporate large areas of glazing. Vetro can be installed in the glazing system to discreetly blend into the overall building design. |
