Clearine fusion combined with VELUX roof window.
Viridian Solar today announces a collaboration with VELUX aimed at allowing the seamless combination of roof-integrated solar PV and roof windows. Viridian Solar has launched a new solar roofing kit that interfaces with the VELUX ODL Solar Integrator and engineers and designers from the two companies have worked together to confirm the compatibility, reliability and robustness of the combination.
The Clearline fusion VELUX integrator (F16-VC) is compatible with the VELUX ODL in MK08 (780 x 1398mm) window sizes.
Welcoming the announcement, Helle Vejlgaard, Director, Product Category Management of VELUX A/S said:
"As developers construct even more energy-efficient buildings, roofs are changing to generate zero-carbon energy. In this transition it is important to consider the indoor climate of the building. Our collaboration with Viridian Solar has delivered a beautiful combination of solar PV and roof windows, which enables homeowners to get access to daylight and fresh air through their roof and thereby have a more comfortable and healthier indoor climate."
Stuart Elmes, CEO of Viridian Solar added:
" In countries such as Norway and Netherlands we already see homes with roofs almost entirely filled with built-in solar panels, and other geographical markets such as the UK are moving in the same direction with new building regulations. We are delighted that developers can now choose a high-quality solution by combining Clearline fusion solar roofing with VELUX roof windows seamlessly integrated together. We have enjoyed working with colleagues at VELUX to offer customers these new options for roof design and look forward to continuing our cooperation. "
The VELUX ODL solar integrator is available from VELUX dealers. The Clearline fusion F16-VC will be available from Viridian Solar stockists from April 2020.
