PROJECT COMPLETION

February 2020

The Clearline fusion in-roof solar panel system was used in a Friso Bouwgroep housing project in the Meerstad expansion site near the city of Groningen in the north of the Netherlands. Meerstad is a new residential area to the east of the city, its name referring to the combination of the Woldmeer with the four lake villages: Middelbert, Engelbert, Euvelgunne and Roodehaanen.

258 in-roof solar panels were installed across the development with housing types vary from terraced houses to semi-detached houses. The installation of these Viridian Solar Clearline fusion in-roof solar panels was carried out by MuusDontje – Installatie & Renovatie. Viridian Solar provided on-site installation training to ensure a smooth start of this new construction project.

Gerard Muus from MuusDontje - Installatie & Renovatie, explains the choice of Clearline Fusion:

"Given the high quality of the system where no plastic parts are used and the fact that Clearline fusion has all European fire protection certificates related to flame/fire spread which have also been awarded the highest BRoof rating, we decided to use this system to roof integration of solar PV in this new-build project at the Meerstad development near Groningen."
