Mulberry Park is a large development of contemporary family homes built by Curo Homes, situated in Coombe Down, Bath. The site of 700 homes includes the first ever PassivHaus certified homes to be built in Bath and North East Somerset.

To achieve Passivhaus status the following areas must be achieved, accurate design modelling using the Passivhaus planning package (PHPP), very high levels of insulation throughout the home, high performance windows with insulated frames, airtight building fabric, thermal bridge free construction and include a mechanical ventilation system with highly efficient heat recovery (MVHR sysems). Additional energy efficient technologies were also added which included access and wiring for electric cars on selected properties, water butts fitted as standard. With barely any change to the lifestyle of the homeowner all these technologies meant a reduction in carbon footprint and lower energy costs by up to 90%.

Phase 4 of the development featured Clearline fusion roof integrated solar panels installed by Eco2Solar Ltd. Charlie Waters, Business Development Co-ordinator at Eco2Solar Ltd said:

" We're proud to support Curo in creating sustainable new homes for future generations to enjoy. Mulberry Park is a fantastic development; we've been working on the site for a number of years across several phases. On this particular phase we have installed both 300w and 335w roof integrated clearline fusion panels that have not only added to the high standard of homes at this development but will also help new homeowners to save on their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint. "
