Viridian Solar is pleased to announce the expansion of its Clearline Fusion range of roof integrated solar panels. New 260Wp modules based on polycrystalline silicon cells will be available from March 2017.

"Recent improvements in the manufacture of polycrystalline silicon cells including advanced processing and surface coating techniques have reduced the visual differences between polycrystalline and monocrystalline cells," said KT Tan, Technical Director of Viridian Solar, "The new polycrystalline cells are a slightly bluer black than those in our monocrystalline panels, with good colour consistency."

The polycrystalline panels are available with a black anodised frame and either a white or a black backing sheet. Modules with a white backing sheet come at a slightly lower price.

Stuart Elmes, CEO at Viridian Solar, said: "Our customers have been telling us that they love the high quality materials and easy installation of our Clearline fusion system. However, for more price-sensitive situations where aesthetics aren't the principal concern they need an option that allows them to offer lower prices without compromising on the quality. The new additions to the fusion range do just this."

Launched in September 2015, with a single module option - a 250Wp panel based on monocrystalline silicon cells, Clearline fusion has quickly established as the premier product for roof integrated solar and the range was expanded to include higher power 270Wp monocrystalline modules in April 2016.
