New Options Increase Flexibility for Different Roof Shapes

Viridian Solar has announced the launch of new flashing kits for its popular Clearline fusion range of roof integrated solar PV panels. The new kits enable the creation of non-rectangular arrays with the panels installed in landscape orientation.

The new kits complete the line-up of out-of-the-box flashing kits. Clearline fusion can now be installed in continuous arrays of any shape in both landscape and portrait orientation, giving unrivalled flexibility to installers to maximise solar output on roofs with limited space while still providing customers with the aesthetic and maintenance benefits of roof integrated solar.

KT Tan, Technical Director of Viridian Solar said:

"There are some roof shapes that just call out for landscape. With the addition of these new kits, it is possible to maximise the number of roof integrated solar panels on roofs of all shapes. Layouts that fit in with roof hips or valleys, while avoiding obstacles such as chimneys and dormer windows are now possible in both landscape and portrait orientation."

The first installation of Clearline fusion landscape corner flashings (pictured) was by Sustainable Solar Solutions UK.
