Viridian Solar announces that it has signed an exclusive group deal with Cruden Homes East. The agreement, which runs until the end of 2020, will see the award winning Scottish house builder using Clearline Fusion roof integrated solar PV modules on homes where solar is required.

Cruden Homes East is the house building arm of The Cruden Group, one of Scotland's largest independently owned and longest established construction and residential development businesses. Building high quality, bespoke homes at popular locations across east and central Scotland since 1943, Cruden Homes has, over the years, developed an enviable reputation for innovation, energy efficiency, regeneration and affordability leading to the company being awarded the prestigious accolade of ‘Home Builder of the Year’ by industry body Homes for Scotland, in 2016.

Stuart Elmes, CEO of Viridian Solar said:

"Our Clearline Fusion is extremely popular in Scotland, where its industry-leading wind resistance achieved without modification to the roof gives developers peace of mind. We're really pleased to be working alongside such a well known house builder as Cruden Homes East to help deliver good looking homes with low energy bills."

Cruden Homes' Technical and Commercial Director, Alastair Reid, said:

"Cruden Homes is renowned for building a range of diverse, high quality homes with a focus on energy efficiency so we are delighted to be working with Viridian Solar in the installation of the Clearline Fusion roof-integrated solar panel system in our new homes at Aberlady and Old Craighall in East Lothian. These panels combine superb kerb appeal with excellent performance and with East Lothian being officially the sunniest area in Scotland, they represent a very viable, cost saving renewable energy solution for our homebuyers."
