Viridian Solar and Heat Merchants announce a new partnership to bring Clearline Fusion roof integrated solar PV systems to customers in the Republic of Ireland.

Established in 1978, Heat Merchants has 32 branches throughout the country and a central distribution facility located in Athlone. Renewable Energy is a growing division in the group with a dedicated renewable energy team offering expert advice on solar photovoltaic, heat pumps, heat recovery and biomass heating systems.

In July 2018 a grant scheme for domestic solar in Ireland was launched, offering €700 per kWp installed up to a maximum of €1400 or 2kWp. When installed alongside battery storage, which attracts a further €1,000 grant, the solar grant ceiling increases to 4kWp or €2800. A new proposal under the Irish government's climate action plan would reward solar installations with guaranteed payments for exported electricity.

Jamie Berryman, Sales Director of Viridian Solar said:

" The introduction of a generous government grant and new proposals for an export tariff look set to create a excellent market conditions for solar PV in the Republic of Ireland, so we are very excited to announce our partnership with Heat Merchants to offer our high quality roof-integrated solar to their customers. "

Alan Hogan, Managing Director of Heat Merchants said:

" With more and more customers in Ireland looking to install aesthetic in-roof solar, Clearline Fusion is a great addition to our Renewable Energy product range. We look forward to working with Viridian Solar to develop the market in Eire."
