Clearine fusion combined with VELUX roof window in position at bottom of the array for an installation to a new homes in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, UK.
Viridian Solar today announces new roofing kits that extend its collaboration with VELUX to provide for the seamless combination of roof-integrated solar PV and roof windows. The new solar roofing kit (F16-VBC) interfaces with the VELUX ODL Solar Integrator for a window in a position at the bottom edge of the solar array.
The two companies had previously worked together to confirm the interoperability of their systems for roof windows in a central position and in March 2020 Viridian Solar launched its Clearline fusion VELUX integrator (F16-VC) for this layout.
Both roofing kits are compatible with the VELUX ODL in MK08 (780 x 1398mm) window sizes.
Jamie Berryman, CSO at Viridian Solar said:
" We are pleased to continue our successful cooperation with Velux to enable the beautiful combination of solar power, daylight and fresh air from roofs. Throughout Europe we are working together with house builders to deliver the best of both worlds.
To our knowledge, this is the first time that Velux has approved the use of its solar integrator and released joint installation instructions with a solar manufacturer for installation on the edge of an array. We look forward to announcing more layout arrangements in the coming months. "
