Innovative Solar Safety Product Honoured in Both UK and Netherlands

Viridian Solar won the New Product Innovation award at the Solar and Storage Live 2022 Awards in Birmingham on 19th October for its new solar safety product - the ArcBox solar connector enclosure.

The award completes a double for the innovative new product, having also been awarded the Product Innovation Award at Solar Solutions International in Amsterdam earlier in the year.

ArcBox simply clamps around a solar DC connector to reduce the risk that arcing in poorly joined connectors spreads to surrounding materials and causes a more serious fire. Solar applications that benefit from additional fire protection measures include building integrated solar, installations above combustible roofing materials and installations on high consequence buildings such as hospitals, schools and high value manufacturing.
